Meet Peka
This is Peka. Peka is only two years old. It's a miracle she's made it this far.
When we picked her up, she weighed 7 kg. After numerous tests and analyses, we discovered she has a chronic illness. After several trials, she is now on a special diet.
She now weighs 16 kilos, but his special food is very expensive: pork liver for his anemia, extra protein, and chicken pieces. Plus, his two medications.
She has to eat twice a day because she is a very active dog and likes to play with other dogs.
Here's the true story.
When Peka came to us, she was very thin. I decided to take charge of everything. Unfortunately, the organization I was working for at the time said it would take too much time and money, and they wanted to let me go.
I just can't stop with a dog who needs help, so after good contact with the vet, we came up with a good diet that Peka can eat.
After a year, we saw great improvement and Peka will never leave our shelter again.
I want to take care of Peka's constant care and medication myself so I know she has everything in this beautiful world.
Peka's special food and care cost us a lot of time and, unfortunately, additional expenses as well.
The organization he worked for no longer wants to pay these additional costs and withdraws from the bailout.
They believe a trip to a shelter or worse is the best option. We don't allow it and assume these additional costs.
